A few WSS reviews....(6 total)

I really don't see much difference between the GB and Wetterlings...even fit and finish is minimal. The handle has a great grain and is fitted very well; I wouldn't hesitate to add the Wetterlings if that was the size and style you wanted.

Between the BRKT and Condor is the Martindale Golok...I should say it's golok-shaped, but thinner like a machete. I did some re-profiling so it has more of a convexed edge, but the steel is pretty soft and requires "touch-ups" a little more often. The original sheath sucks, but the plastic USGI machete sheath works great (I cut it down some to fit the shorter golok).

Thanks man, I love my hawks very much and all....but somehow something just looks odd when I have one of them and the Bushfinger together...seems defeats the whole purpose of trying to escape the tactical world for a day or two...know what I mean? I think after the other day, when the tree was across the road I wanted to go down, I just need to pick up a decent small to medium axe for the truck anyway. Using a big knife instead of an axe for survival is just me being me...but it's a whole different issue when I'm on a schedule :)

Great reviews Rock and thanks for posting them. The craftmenship on that para sheath is exceptional.

Also, have you noticed a difference in edge retention with the mora bushcraft vs other mora models?

Sorry for the delay Mike...work has been busy! Can't say much on the edge yet, but it seems on par with my regular carbon steel clippers after moderate use. It really takes a hair-popping edge though with a little stropping!

BTW, I have a 2LT working for me temporarily and she has orders to your unit. I'm going to get her in touch with the XO...

Np and I hear you on the work thing- we're swamped as well. It's good to see you online and posting again.
