A first attempt at forced patinization; should I stick with this or redo it?

I never did really like the finish on the Swamp Rat knife, the crinkly olive green stuff. And after seeing a few examples of forcing a patina, I thought I'd try my hand at it.

Here's my humble first attempt. Do you like it, hate it, think I should have another go at it, or?

Thanks for your comments.

Looks good to me. I guess now that you have the technique down; it comes down to whether you like the pattern or not (or lack thereof). It all comes down to personal preference.

I like it alot:thumbup: You could change it up if you want but could also drive yourself crazy tryin.

I'd leave it and put her to good use:D

Thanks for the positive feedback. Actually, it evolved from yesterday afternoon to this morning. I left it in this sheath:

which I had soaked in water to fit the knife with new wrap in it. Well, the leather apparently wasn't entirely dry, and this morning I found the blade significantly "improved" over what it was yesterday. :)

BTW, I just took a few more pics of the knife, outside this time. Sometimes rainy weather can improve the looks of stuff.

Thanks again for the positive comments.
