Though I mainly make lockback folders, I have made a very few liner locks. This venture into flippers is something a little different for me, but it is exciting to do something new. I build the prototype for this flipper for a new knife manufacturer, Patriot Knifewerks. They are producing their knives in the USA, with all components made in their own facility. Blade pivots on bearings. Some of these knives will be on display at the upcoming G8, at the Patriot Knifewerks booth.
Moderators, I also posted this knife in the customs forum, but felt this is a better place for it. If this is a problem, please delete this post.

For the love of all that is holy... those are some drop dead sexy knives... I want one! OOK

I'm not super interested in flippers, but that knife is just beautiful and makes me want to try one ( a small classy one with a traditional vibe ) my only real complaint would be that cool that seems a little narrow.
Not sure the handle shape is practical for a folder, but I'm sure it just melts in hand and extreme ergonomics are practical 👍

This was completely made by hand with files and sandpaper, like all my knives. I only use a small band saw and drill press. Works fine for slipjoints and lockbacks, but a bit of a challenge for these flippers. Patriot has scanned all the parts of this knife and will of course be CNC machining the components. However, they will be using hand rubbed finishes on the blade and polished filework. This will require a fair amount of handwork for them.

Wow. You struck an excellent balance of intricacy and sleekness. I can't pinpoint what elements are responsible for the effect but it looks classy and utilitarian at the same time.
I like the bottom of the handle in particular.

Let me know if you ever make one for lefties, I might consider loading up the Visa.

Very nice! Will the production versions have Ti bolsters and micarta handles? I hope that ivory micarta is available, very gorgeous!

Mama Freaking Mia. Outstanding. I don't look at many knives and immediately want one - this, yes.

Wow...I'm speechless. And that normally requires a muzzle.
