A fully carbon fiber knife

I am not really into fixed blades, also I have wondered this, will full carbon fiber trip metal detectors. It does not matter, but figured I would ask.

No, but mass spectrometers will. So will x-rays and AIT technology.

CF is nothing more than carbon fabric cloth given their hardness from the resin that encapsulates it. It isn't any more "hi-tech" than micarta or G10. CF is a great material for low weight v. stress applications useful in manufacturing. It isn't a miracle combat ninja material.

I have always liked G10, and especially micarta a lot, although I have used carbon fiber only on cars till recently.

they exist.. will run you about 200 for all three or 70 each though. Not sure if I can post the link since they aren't a bladeforum sponsor.

I don't think a fully CF would have enough weight to manipulate. This is the best I can offer right now.

That is bitchin! Be cool if the blade was solid CF too as well as the hardware. Maybe CF pins held tight by pressure and adhesives.

someone has a full carbon fiber Warren Thomas for sale right now the only thing is a small spring inside is made of TI but thats it blade handle and everything else is CF
