Sales to U.S. only. PayPal only, no trades. I cover PayPal fees, USPS Priority Shipping, etc.
The price is $100 for the set of 3.
The maker's mark credits these to the American knife entrepreneur A.G. Russell, manufactured in Solingen, Germany, but marketed by Russell's company then headquartered in Springdale, Arkansas.
These are 7 3/8" long. The handles appear to be little more than a coating of red enamel over one end of a single piece of steel, but I'm not able to say exactly what sort of coating material they may have used.
They don't appear to have ever been thrown.
The center of gravity is 2 3/4" from the blunt end of the handle, and 4 5/8" from the blade tip end. That puts these knives in the category of unbalanced throwing knives, and these would generally be thrown for sport by gripping the lighter, bladed end, according to Wikipedia.
Putting them on a gram scale, I find they each weigh 69-70 grams (2.4-2.5 ounces).
In the 1970s, the now-late American knife entrepreneur A.G. Russell can be shown to have started working with one of the remaining knife factories in Solingen, Germany (Hen & Rooster / Bertram Cutlery), making similar Sting knives. As of 1975, Russell actually owned this factory outright. Nonetheless, we are unable to give an exact vintage for these knives.
In fact, unlike a lot of Russell's product line from this period, there is not a lot of information readily available about these throwing knives.
Again, the price is $100 for the set of 3. I have no original box, boxes, sheath, or sheaths. But they will be shipped affixed to cardboard, wrapped in leather, inside a USPS small flat rate box.
Again, I cover USPS Priority Shipping, etc.
In case you may have any interest in combining purchases within one shipment, click here to go directly to the entire Google Photos folder containing photos for all of the knives that I currently have described and available.
