A.G. Russell good or bad?

A.G. is about as good as it gets. Their prices are a little higher than other places but customer service is rock solid. They have been around for longer than any other retailer that I know of.

All my dealings with them have been great. I have returned items without a hassel. Their shipping has been timely. Their own products have been quality.

A little higher priced but ya pay for the service, AG Russell's alright. :D

BTW can't beat his guarantee

AG is a class act all the way. He may not be the cheapest around but the old addage that you get what you pay for is evident when you deal with him.

He backs up what he sells better than anyone else in the business. You can trust dealing with his company and him.

A.G. Russell is among the best in quality and in service, and his catalogs are always welcomed in my mailbox. A.G. has the finest guarantee in the business.

AG's great. You may also want to look at the Dozier selection Billy has at Vintageknives.com He's got a different selection than AG and is also great to deal with. Good luck!

As others have mentioned, A.G.'s prices are not the lowest, but if you are looking for excellent customer service you can't go wrong purchasing from his company. I think of A.G. as being about as honorable as they come.

AG Russell is the Grand Old Man of the mail order knife business. He has been satisfying customers for around 40 years. I have exchanged emails with him on several occasions. He is a champion of high quality and innovation. I have purchased several knives that he had made to his specifications by various manufacturers. I think that you get particularly high value if you buy one of the AG Russell specials. I don't think that you could find a more reliable dealer in the world. Here's a link to some background:

Absolutely. I've purchased many knives from them. Outstanding service.

A. G. Russell takes a large amount of our product, and it is ordered up to a year ahead and this is why some of our knives can be bought from him with out a long wait like you may have with us. Vintage knives also buys knives far ahead so that he has knives to sell ahead of our delivery time. He also buys knives some times for the same price that you would pay for them. This is why the sometimes higher price, but get now delivery date. I,m sorry for our 12 mo. delivery time, but due to the demand of our faithfull customers, we can do no better.

Do not hesitate to order from A.G. Russell. Your satisfaction is guaranteed. I've had to use his guarantee only once but it was quick and hassle free. He also has the Doziers in stock or gets them very quickly. I've ordered two and the one that wasn't in stock came a week later, hardly a problem if you ask me. Plus he has a lot of things you can't get anywhere else (like the Strikeforce folder which I heartily recommend).

Welcome to Bladeforums! We have a special forum for this kind of question -- I'll move this thread there for you.
