I have been considering the purchase of an A.G. Russell Lockback in G-10 with an ATS-34 blade. The only problem is that I don't like to order a knife without seeing it with my own eyes prior to purchase. Has anyone had any experience with A.G. Russell knives? I understand that they have outstanding service and a good guarantee. Any help would be appreciated!

Well since you've asked....Several years ago I bought an AG Russell one handed knife. I really liked the design* and was happy with the knife except I couldn't get it really sharp. I tried everything and it wouldn't take a good edge. I sent knife back to AG Russell with a note and requested that they sharpen it. Well they got an edge all right-someone put it on a grinder and ruined the knife-they even ground down about half the thumb post.
AG Russell's prices are far higher then other net-knife stores. Check out BF's link section.
good luck-Richard

*Later learned that the design I'd liked so much was by Crawford.

Do a search in the reviews forum. I reviewed that particular knife about a month ago. Nice knife, but I don't care for the mirror finish.
