Just perused a recent A.G. Russell catalog. They do have an excellent catalog by the way. I was about to order one their famous One Hand folders with the Zytel handle and thought I'd see if anyone has any comments or experience with this product.

If you like the style there is no reason not to get it, but there is an awful lot of Zytel handled, ATS-34 bladed one handers to choose from out there. I do like the General Purpose blade, though.

If you want the same blade with some minor blemishes, you can try AG Russell seconds. Usually these knives have some cosmetic fault like scratches or dings and you can save a bit of cash if you're gonna put the knife to use anyway. Just point yer browser here: http://agrussell.com/agseconds/index.html

I have been carring a Russell lightweight for over two years now.I love this knife. It sits in my back pocket next to my wallet and it is so light that you don't know its there.
But remember that it is not a heavy duty knife its fine for everyday tasks(opening boxes, mail, cleaning your nails etc)but I wouldn't recomend it for really heavy duty tasks.
Happy Holidays!

Like JOCKO said. The only other thing I'll add is, make sure to keep the lock clean. This is a slick knife. Mine finds its way into my pocket from time to time.

Be careful when sharpening or handling that knife. The lock is very easily disengaged. I spoke with one fellow who slashed himself badly when the blade closed on his finger while stoning the blade.

I like this knife too. I opted for the Aus-8 which was on special for $30, usually it is $35. Its light weight yet has a very useful blade. I can open it with just a wrist flip.
It lacks a clip but it is very pocketable. Go for it.

The Featherlight one-hander was the first knife I ever purchased by mail order, and it was before I knew I was (or was shortly to become) a knife collector. I had owned a Spyderco Delica, a couple of swiss army knives, and a Buck Esquire before that.

The Russell was, at the time, the sharpest knife I had ever encountered out of the box. The thin blade (mine's AUS-8) adds to its cutting ability. This was my favorite knife ... until I started buying more. I still carry the Russell from time to time, but it's not my first choice.

I never had a single problem with the lock giving way; in fact, I couldn't figure out how to open it one-handed until I asked A.G. in an email. It was stiff.

For the price, it's a great knife, if you want a lightweight knife. If you want something heavier at the same general price, chekc out the CRKT Mirage.
