A. G. Russell Passed Away

Sad news, been a faithful customer and admirer of the man for many years...the knife world lost a great one with his passing.
 
I just saw this tonight...very, very, sad news. He was an absolute gentleman and a fantastic ambassador for all things knife-related.
 
Sad to see this. My very first A.G. Russell arrived in the mail today. RIP A.G.

Terrible news... I admired and liked this man. A huge loss. Condolences to his family.
 
I've always been impressed with how A.G. Russell conducted his business with real honesty and integrity. I first started buying knives from him and receiving his catalogs back in the early '90s. I never doubted he was always looking out for his customers' best interests and he never seemed to waiver in his confidence that he'd prosper as a result of that. I wish that so many other businesses would be run the same way.

I wish the best to A.G.'s family, friends and employees. They've lost a giant of a very good man.

He was a legend on a lot of levels and a man of integrity. He used to occasionally post here years ago. He will be missed. Prayers for his family and friends.
