A. G. Russell Passed Away

Such a great icon and champion of all things cutlery. His company's customer service was top notch. I also admired how he sold knives of all different manufacture. He didn't necessarily care who made them, as long as they met his standards for quality.

He will be missed...

No!!!!

Met him at my first big show, I bought a K87 Onehand Knife and he cut himself showing me how to open it. He had to go to the ER and got 5 stitches, I still have that knife.

He was a great man and I’ll miss him. Kzaa

RIP AG, my sincerest condolences and deepest sympathies Goldie.

:(

I always loved and hated when his catalogs came. Loved because of all the eye candy and really cool knives. Hated because they always coached my credit card out of my pocket.
He was a great force in the knife world. My condolences to his family and friends.

We lose another great member of the knife community a sad day indeed. I have yet to pick up an AG Russel knife I probably had one years ago but none currently in my collection. I think this is a sign that I need to add one to my collection soon.

A champion for the industry. He will be missed. Condolences to friends and family.

Wow. Too bad for the knife community. So much knowledge. I have two lockbacks from his China manufacturer. They are some of the best "users" in my collection. Rugged. Dependable.
My condolences to folks in Rogers, AK.
Hope the company can continue.

So sad. AG influenced to the knife community in ways that will impact generations to come. My deepest condolences to his family.

Thanks for letting us know. Always enjoyed leafing through his flyer. Purchased quite a few knives from his company over the years.

I always looked at A G Russell with total respect and admiration as to what he has achieved and admired the reputation he had for being such a stand up person.

Loosing someone like this is always such a massive loss.
I wish AG’s family my best and RIP A G Russell Sir.

A.G. set a high mark for integrity and support for the knife community for many, many years. Sorry to hear the news. Prayers for the family. RIP

Sincere condolences to AG's friends and family. A true and positive force in the knife world, he will be missed by so many.

The problem with getting older, you lose more friends, I agree this is very sad to hear, I have had several friends recently pass away, quite young which is also quite sad, one was only 51 years old, another 54.
Prayers for his family,
G2

I recently became a customer and I think I'll be one in the future too, so this is sad news.
RIP AG Russell.

Regards
Mikael
