I recently placed an order with A.G Russell, but for some reason, the order went through without factoring in "Shipping costs". There was no "Shipping" costs and related things in the ordering process.

So, I emailed them, and they told me "Our shipping manager will weigh and measure the package and determine the ship costs based on that and location. I can email you with the cost before we ship if you'd like.". I immediately replied and asked what that meant; specifically if it meant I had to pay more invoices or something. That was 3 days ago. So, can anyone familiar with A.G Russell's ordering process please help me?

I've ordered from A.G. Russell about 20 times and have never had that happen. The shipping cost has invariably been $8.95 and has been included in the order confirmation. You should call them and find out what's up. They're very nice and they'll definitely help you out.

Ditto that for me.

Jac, check your junk mail. Sometimes emails from stores end up in there. Otherwise give them a day or so more. If no one responds, let me know your invoice number or whatever you have and i can call and ask for you.

Big difference in shipping costs between you in California and Jac in Norway.

Thank you. I sent another mail to their customer service instead of replying to the previous one, along with order number. I assume that, if there's a delay, it's because, as they said, they have to measure and weigh the package to calculate the shipping costs. It's just that I don't think I've heard of that before; it's usually calculated instantly directly on the site.

It's obviously going to involve international shipping and they probably have to calculate that seperately. I would guess that most small to mid-size companies do not take the time to have their website support that level of detail when it comes to shipping.

Customer Service just got back to me with the shipping quote, but they still haven't answered me on how I'm going to pay for this.

How did you pay for your order?

I assume you paid with a credit card and they will just tac on the shipping costs.

Not unusal when shipping to another Country.

I've always paid the shipping costs when placing the order. They did give me the shipping quote yesterday, and asked if I wanted them to proceed with processing the order, to which I said yes.

You still aren't answering the question of "how" did you pay for your stuff. Did you use a credit card? Debit card? Wire transfer? If you paid by credit or debit, your shipping costs will more than likely be added to whatever your items totaled out to be.

Oh yeah, sorry, I paid with credit card.

And, you guys were correct. They got back to me on the matter of shipping costs -- they said that they charge the costs to my card when they ship the order.
