Yeah you're right I initially thought 3" blade but it is 3" OAL pretty small.Yeah those look good, but the measurements suggest they are pretty tiny.
I'm still excited.I officially detract any excitement I may have projected sorry.
I'm with you, if I carried lockbacks I'd be crazy for a 3" model.3" OAL Lockback in VG-10?

I just tried to disengage the lock by squeezing the handle, in a variety of positions, and it never budged. I cannot see it happening on this knife ever.Just wondering if its possible to squeeze the handle to the point where the lock disengages. On the folding hunter squeezing it very tightly the flesh of the palm does disengage it and the handle is too wide for the pinky finger to prevent that. With the tapered handle I just can't see if the same thing would happen on the wharncliff. I'd hate to order one and have to return it. When the adrenaline is flowing anything is possible. It is a sweet looking knife. Thanks.
Thank you DavidZ.I just tried to disengage the lock by squeezing the handle, in a variety of positions, and it never budged. I cannot see it happening on this knife ever.
I hope one of you guys gets one. This particular model doesn't interest me but I'm a big fan of A.G. Russell's knives. They are so well made that once you get one you just have to have a few more. That's been my experience anyway.
His 3 5/8 inch Gunstock is probably the most well constructed lockback that I've ever owned. Such a nice knife. I have a few others that have impressed the heck out of me as well.
I'm sure this Wharncliffe Lockback will be an excellent knife. Looking forward to hearing from anyone who might get one.
Rick you sure have been accumulating some fine knives lately. Every one of em are on my list. Very enjoyable to view them along with the reviews.I changed my mind. Had to have one.

It still isn't my favorite A.G. Russell pattern but it's typical A.G. Russell quality (which is exceptional) and I'm proud to own it. It's a nicely designed and well executed knife. It may not be my favorite pattern but A.G.'s China made knives never cease to impress me and this one is no exception.

All of AG's knives exhibit the same thing. Quality that exceeds the price point. Sometimes you have to own them just for the design and execution.I changed my mind. Had to have one.
