Everyone I played with moved or died. I now play against a lady in Mississippi, not the same though, with a move a day

Depends, shear edge retention goes to s110v, ductility and I would say "character" goes to 52-100 because it patinas and will need more care. But it has good edge retention too. Which of those things do you prefer?

That is very cool! Chess isn't very popular, none of the people I know play it. I don't know if they don't like thinking ahead or what.
 
This puzzle ball makes me think...

Makes me think why I bought it! Sometimes I can pick it up and get through all 70 steps to the end point in one shot. Other times it takes more than a few tries. (Little ball through 1 path)
