I'm an Army civilian..the only reason I'm in NY is I got a PPP hit. Fort Wainright has a position in my career field, it's the right pay grade, and a I have some friends working up there now.

Army civilians make more money than guys in the army and generally have it better. Some of my fraternity brothers were/are army civilians. Good luck, hope you get the alaska job

I have 17 years of combined active duty and civilian time and I make about what an E-7 would make with my time in service but I don't have the housing, clothing, or shopping benefits
