A game to play

Black Talons have a history as being called "cop killers" because they supposedly could pierce armor (completely false) which is why they are no longer being made (due to media hype and not ballistic data). They are mostly a novelty nowadays.

I carry Critical Duty 135gr +P FWIW.

Yeah, was total hype, but they did look cool when expanded. And after they discontinued them due to all the backlash, they came out with the Ranger SXT, which was basically the same thing with different name, and no black coating. The inside joke was that SXT stood for Same eXact Thing.

Mmm, I never had any interest in black talons. The newer generation ammo is just better IMO.

In 9mm I have:
Federal HST
Speer Gold Dot
Winchester PDX1

.38
Corbon DPx
Winchester PDX1

.40
Corbon DPx
Speer Gold Dot
Speer gold dot for the win. Best damn bonded bullet.

Definitely overrated. There are no OTC armor piercing rounds.

My spin on it is, if you're in the unlikely situation where you actually have to shoot someone, I would rather not be found using such a notorious bullet. Because both the police and likely local media would be involved. The less questions asked, the better. I don't want my house searched

Agreed, but if you're involved in a shooting, house search is probably inevitable.

I still have a whole box of .45
BTW, for home defense, FMJ are just fine. Don't give an Ahole defense attorney any more ammo to use against you.

I never understood why prosecuting attorneys would key on hollow points? FMJs are WAY more likely to over penetrate and do damage behind the target. Stupid.

Knife in a pile of Cheerios.

Edit to add: This bayonette has the attachment removed from the butt of the knife because of Canadian laws. :/ lol. Oh well. If its not the kind of bayonette you were hoping for...let me know.

Time's up...let's see a knife and a desktop tape dispenser.
