Valid or not, I'm posting this cuz it's a cool story. One of my neighbors is Russian, and he was a semi-pro hockey player. Tried out for the pros but got injured and that was that. Anyway, his father made mini sticks, and I won one at a party at his house by winning a drinking game.

It stains pretty easily but no rust or pitting.

While the thought is still fresh, this is actually one of the side aspects of the knife I'm really looking forward to. The FRN will hold up like new while the blade darkens and wears with age, contrasting really nice. The deep teal handle with the stained blade will also make the knife look good with my other tools; all the near-black patinaed pliers with boldly colored plasti-dip handles.

I don’t do a lot of food cutting with mine so the patina is slow going.
