Automotive paint defects. Removing dirt nibs is usually done with 1000 to 1500 then you work your way up so you don’t have to machine Polish as much. Most shops stop at 3000 then polish but you know 3M. Always doing the hard sell on new stuff.

My Grandad is a guitar maker and he uses 12000 grit (no that is not a typo) to finish them.
Ya’ll know what the next highest grit Is right?

Something like not recent, but doesn't have to be ancient history like above either. My grandfather was a politician, and collected pins. My dad inherited them, and now I have them.
