A game to play

Still loving the game. No contributions as of late because I left the miserable land of Michigan to flee the ice and snow.

Flew to Arizona with my wife for a week to check out the grand canyon and flagstaff area so no knife....which is absolutely excruciating for me.

I didn't even bring any long pants and almost didn't bring a jacket. It was in the mid to upper 30's all day with snow everywhere. That's about right for my luck.

I begrudgingly accept AntDog AntDog submission of chili since we are passed the 2 hr mark anyways.

I will assume he dropped his knife in the chili. Fire away on the next adventure!

Can we all agree that chili is delicious at least?

AntDog AntDog - did you drop a knife into the pot ? (Looks tasty, BTW)

If not, I’ll give you knife and Chili ....

Let's do a knife and bowl of chili. A can of chili will be accepted. You might lose 5 points if it has no beans. Proper chili has beans. Farting after dinner and disgusting the wife is part of the dining experience.

Chili really sounds good. High of 25 today here in MI, good chili eating weather.
Now you’ve done it. The beans no beans argument has derailed many a thread!

Exact weather I had in Vegas 2 weeks ago. Turns out it was warmer at home! Enjoy the vacation.

Nah, I didn’t drop a knife in it, but my GKC Sick Nasty was right there to cut up all the onions.

Here’s the recipe if you’d like to try it:

3lbs coarse ground beef
2 diced onions
1 big can diced tomatoes
2 small cans tomato sauce
1.5 teaspoons oregano
1 whole head roasted garlic
About 3/4 cup of good chili powder
2 bottles Negra Modelo
Salt and fresh ground pepper to taste

Fry the meat and onions in a big cauldron. Try not to break up the meat too much. Drain off as much grease as you can. Add half the total amount of the seasonings. Add in the canned stuff and roasted garlic. Pour in beers. Stir, then let it simmer at least an hour. Stir and add rest of the seasonings. Let it simmer as long as you can, then enjoy. If it needs thickening, add a little flour slurry or masa harina if you have it.
