If so... a knife and something you cut to bits with said knife.

I know I'm late, but I thought I'd post this as a bit of "show and tell".

Had this Gallotone Champion in my family for many years, it dates back to the 1950's. This same type of guitar has been dubbed as "John Lennons first guitar" since he had one that was similar. I've been wanting to get it restored in playable condition, but haven't taken the plunge yet.

Anyways, I thought some of you guys might find it interesting. Here she is with a Peter Martin Kwaiken:)

I went up to visit a buddy's huntin' cabin up in the Poconos and when I got to his cabin he was nowhere around, I wanted to leave him a message and let him know I was there. Now here was my dilemma, I had a piece of paper but no pen to write a message so how to let him know unmistakably that I was there. I took the piece of paper and sliced it leavin' about 100 thin barely attached curly cues then stuck the paper in his cabin door and went into town to get a beer and a sandwich. A couple of beers and half my sandwich later he comes strollin' through the door with my ginsu sliced note sayin', "I knew when I saw the paper cut into little slivers it was you." :)

That's pretty cool!

That's so funny!

Those danged nice knives...

I can totally picture you contemplating, "I should really get that old guitar restored....... or maybe I'll buy another Thornburn, or a Rockstead............ next year old guitar, next year..."

That about sums it up. Also, I'm a little nervous handing off this guitar to a stranger😬
