A Gentleman's Folder

Ray - this is an exceptional piece. I can't get over how your folders are transitioning. They keep getting better and better, if that was possible.

I think the new owner will like it!

That would be an understatement.

Beautiful, well executed, and a complete surprise. A joint effort (secret, of course) between my wife, my brother, and Ray. Wood donated by my brother, design a collaboration between the three, and Ray pulled it off on very short notice.

A thanks to all three.

Don, I'm glad you like it. Your wife and brother deserve the credit. It was great working with them to get this done. Merry Christmas!

It's a good thing Christmas was close and I had to ship it right after Ray had finished it. If I had kept it any longer, it would have been difficult to part with.

For some reason Linda thinks you deserved something special. I think she's a keeper.

And, as usual, Ray was great to work with.

Some day I'll have one of my own. Carolyn is leaving for the Philippines on Monday (darn unemployment, I was going to go with her) and I have given her specific instructions to bring home a kamagong box from Baguio with just the right grain and thickness so I will have some good kamagong for a project like this, or a slipjoint.
