A gift to my groomsmen. Which Becker should I choose?

I had another thought. I don't know how much you are trying to spend or how many groomsmen you have so I don't know if this would be possible, but the bk14 costs $30 online. I know Tommythewho makes wooden scales for $30. Maybe you could request tommy to make you a few sets in different wood and he may give you a discount for ordering in bulk... just a thought... but if it works you'd be spending $60 or less for some personalized knives.

The 11 is perfect for this. Great choice. And I like the idea of personalized paracord wrap. I'm getting married next June and will be taking your idea. Looking forward to pics of you cutting the cake with the bk9!

I have to comment not on the knife but on an old superstition. There is an old saying that if you give someone a knife as a gift they have to give you a coin in return. The superstition is that if they do not it will sever your relationship with them. I have always found that when I give a knife and incorporate this into the giving (usually a penny) people have found it to be more personal and it has meant more to them. So tell all your groomsmen to make sure they have a penny with them that day but do not tell them why until you give the gift.

What a great tradition!

Man, I'm down a lot of coins...

[I still think the BK5 is a better cake carver than the BK9. The -9 will collect too much frosting! ]

Think of the wedding photo if they all had RBK's though...

I see it now:
Just like the wedding of a Marine -- but instead of an arch of chromed swords, the groomsmen make an arch of Beckers for the couple to walk under!

That is a great idea! I will definitely remember this. Thank you.

Congratulations! I hope all goes well on your wedding day. It is really stressful trying to plan everything and get all the details right. (That's why she is doing most of it!)

I am considered by friends, family, and co-workers as a knife-nut, so it is appropriate that I should incorporate something that means so much to me into the most important step in my life. I am glad to hear that you will be using this idea also.
