A gift to myself: my personal knife!!! (Photos)

First of congrats on your Promotion

Beautiful child

Great Bowie and I love the sheath and really like your Tine stud has given me ideas for future sheaths

Simply fantastic stuff congrats again

Congratulations on the promotion and Happy Birthday. Excellent work on that bowie, sir. You have a fine looking son as well. Good Luck to you and your family.

Congratulations all around- Promotion, Birthday, Son, Knife- Just Fantastic.

You're Son already has a nice knife collection starting.

Big congratulations! And a pretty impressive piece of hardware too!

I think more knifemakers should carry/use their own stuff. I know it's hard, but it's also both good advertising and good feedback on actual performance.

There is nothing sadder that having dinner at a Master Smith's house and watching him battle a roast with a dull, cheap import knife (don't ask me how I know this:).

Thank you for the compliments guys. Actually you are right John. In Brazil we have a popular phrase that explains this perfectly "at home blacksmith, wooden barbecue skewer." When we make a knife and a collector buys a piece that is still our little one. Maybe that's why bladesmiths not make knives for themselves. I think it took much to make a knife for me.
Hugs,
Eduardo Berardo

Congrats on your promotion and Birthday !
Fantastic knife/sheath and great looking kid, one can only hope he follows in his fathers footsteps !

Your posts are much appreciated around here, Eduardo ! :)

Doug

Thanks Doug. I try to bring a real collaboration for bladesmiths and collectors. I plan to write more technical posts as I did on the treatment of damascus. I think this really helps to improve the technical knowledge of the public lover of custom knives as well as other bladesmiths been doing and that helped me a lot. Tanks,
Eduardo Berardo

Impressive knife - and it sounds like you'll have a great opportunity to put it to good use on your training exercise. Do give us some pics if such is permitted.

Roger

Roger loved his suggestion. I'll shoot all the training and show you. Great!

Tanks,
Eduardo Berardo

Reminds me of the Tri State show in Minneapolis back in 1990. I made a nice bowie that I hoped would not sell because it was just toooo nice. Anyways after the show it went on my belt and became mine. I put alot of miles and years on it before it went into retirement, wearing out a couple of sheaths over time.

lovely knife, lucky boy (is he sitting in a chest drawer?) and you have a winsome smile too (like an MMA fighter)! ;)

Berardo Congratulations on the promotion and further by the knife, very beautiful, will serve very well in the jungle. The picture of this beautiful daughter sweated.

hug.

Great knife would make Bowie proud to see it. Congrats on the Birthday and Promotion. Train those men well and will keep you and them in my Prayers.

Congratulations, and that is one cool knife! Brazil is producing some great guns and knives. I had the pleasure of handling an STi .45 in Thailand a couple of years ago and it was a GREAT pistol. That bowie of yours looks just as good. :) I was in Sao Paulo back in '96--without a doubt one of the coolest places I've ever been. I definitely need to get down there some time soon!

Outstanding work ! Congratulations on promotion
Your Son will be very happy with that knife someday......
