OK, Zombies, trolls, Posleen, and other unsavory characters!! It arrived this morning, and while I'm flooded here in lovely Northern AZ, I did slip outside to take a pic!

This is gray/tan, as my new ASH1 will be. I finally see what all the fuss is about! Now, how the heck do you carry it?

Awesome looking AK:thumbup:

How are you gonna carry it? In a big azz sheath:p

There are some great AK sheaths out there, I hope several will post a pic for you. The last one I saw that Leatherman made was one of the nicest I have seen.

Now that's a knife!

Just look at how it's severed that tree - it's scorched it black! That thing must cut like a light sabre!

Congratulations!!!

Rick - British Pork!

Thanks, guys--guess I wasn't clear. Not so much about what to carry it in, but HOW to carry it? Across the back? Strapped to a pack? I have short arms, drawing it will be the problem! :D WOuld love to see pics of sheaths, though!

Nice sword:thumbup::thumbup:
I tied mine to my back pack last time I hiked....

After hearing about the horrible incident with the young woman hiker in Georgia, I would have to agree that a "girl needs an AK".

I hope some will come by with some of the pics I have seen. I'm sure some will be along.

Wasn't long ago someone put up a pic of a leather sheath with shoulder strap where you could carry it across your back.
If I had one I know that's the way I would carry it. I know there are some great looking kydex ones out there but I would prefer the feel of leather on my back or side on a blade this large.

Kydex would be much better if you plan to attach it to a pack, carry in canoe, etc...

Heck, you just may need both

Hey, congrats on your new acquisition, hogette! I haven't carried mine outside my yard yet because I don't know how to carry it either.

Awesome score!

If you go leather, Dwayne can make you a Dundee rig, to carry it across your body (like a purse or satchel...)

CONGRATS.

Nice AK.

Don't you feel safer already.

Since I bought mine, I haven't seen one zombie in my neighborhood. :D

I think they can somehow tell you are ready. :)

Oh, so THAT'S why they aren't hanging around!!:D As a matter of fact, I do feel safer. And that Rainwalker rig is tempting....
