A give away for those with daughters

Tomorrow is the last day for entries...Monday I will print out the entries I have and have my daughter pick a winner...time to get in on this is running out...

My name is Chava.
I am 16
I took a course in the Ambulance Service, and I serve on ambulance duty every week.
I am a Youth Leader for setting up and running Summer Camps outdoors.
I am on the City council for Kids, and we organize activities for youth and teenagers
At school I am the guide that goes out on trips with all the classes to teach them about nature.
This summer I will be teaching for two weeks at a camp, how to camp and outdoor skills.

Yoni Netanyahu was the commander of the Entebbe Raid that saved hijacked passengers from terrorists in 1976

“Yoni stood apart from us…and kept shouting: ‘Forward! Come on!’ calling the lead man by his name,” recalls Alex.
“Yoni shouted to run forward,” explains Amos, “and I remember him running forward himself…He passed [the lead man who had stopped]...

He was then killed

He stood forward, and called from the front. That is leadership

NB:
I transalated this from Hebrew from my daughter

Jackie. 3rd Grade.
My favorite patriot is former president Franklin D Roosevelt.
My favorite quote of his is "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself."
I have to say I like this quote because I just like him. He really was a patriot
because he cared about every single American.

OK...these will go to my daughter and I will go see the doctor this am...when I get back we should have a winner....

My daughter said this was tough but neeman's daughter is the winner. Message me with you mailing address and I will get the knife on it's way. Congrats to all who entered...I personally am pleased to know that good values are being passed on to the children who will one day be our leaders.

Well Chava is really excited!
Quote
"Cool, that really cool. What fun! Wow a really nice knife to work with in the Camp Sites.
Wow, please thank the gentleman and his daughter"

I would like to thank you for this gift.
Chava is a really committed kid.
She studies hard and plays hard.
But her play is taking the Ambulance course and being the 'Excellent' student award, and the Camp Leadership course.
Then committing to the service that is involved.

Her reaction was that of getting a prize.
She already has a small collection of knives, gifts from me.
But this one is special for her.
For her it is like out of nowhere she is getting this.

Thanks,

Neeman

Thanks to Absintheur for the contest and congratulations Chava for the winning entry. I'm guessing neeman is a pretty good father too. Three winners.

Congrats to you Chava, and thanks for the opportunity on this Absinrteur the girls all did very well.

Congrats Chava. My daughter congrats you as well. Nicely done, and thanks again for the nice contest.

Wade,
I don't know what is nicer, the greeting card or the knife.
The Blessing touched my Heart.
The knife will get lots of use, and I will enjoy using it alot.
Thanks so much.
Chava

We sharpened her up
Brasso'ed her up so she shines.
And then oiled her.

Chavie showed the girls on Friday night.
They were all aware of special.

Then the questions came, they wanted to know her history.
When was she made?
Where is it made?
How old is the company?
Why did it go out of business?

Could you let us know?

The trade name "Kutmaster" was first used in 1937. The parent company, Utica Cutlery of Utica, New york, has been producing knives, straight razors, and other cutlery since 1910. (Prior to that, the firm had produced coffins and vaults under the name Utica Burial Case Company.) Company headquarters are still located at the original 820 Noyes Street location to this day. During World War Two, the firm produced knives, bayonets, and Lineman's knife and plier kits for the US military under both the Utica and Kutmaster brand names. Today the name is used mostly on kitchen cutlery but at one time the made a wide selection of knives for outdoorsmen and women. They made, among other things, knives for all branches of Scouts, Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts, Cub Scouts, Brownies, etc. This particular Girl Scout knife dates from the 1950s. As I said I bought it on a whim at a garage sale some years ago so I don't know much about it's past. I would enjoy seeing pics of the knife in action today tho, hopefully it will create stories and traditions with it's new owner that will be passed down with it as children become grown and have children of their own.

For the girls, the knife already has its own mystic.
It sort of appeared out of nowhere.
With a process of someone giving away a knife just like that.

With the history even more so.

Will get photos when it happens,,,
