A glacial lake I visited in Alaska.

I gotta guess Kinik or Matanuska, those are the two fairly close that I remember.

What do I win :D

You have to name the correct lake first. Good guesses though, and very close, but it ends with no winner. The name of the lake is Eklutna.

I knew I should have grabbed a map! Were you just up on vacation?

I was in Fairbanks on business for a week, then stopped over in Anchorage for two nights to visit my Aunt. My wife flew up for the Anchorage part of the trip. My Aunt took us up to that lake for a picnic and to take pictures. It is a beautiful place.

hey,,,,,,,,, that's what I said, I just couldn't spell it correctly ;) :D

If you think you had difficult spelling it, you should have heard me trying to pronounce it. EEEEcluuuutnaaahhhhhh is correct. I tried to call it Ecluckna, Eclectic, Eklectrick, etc.

haha that reminds me of the first Navy ship I had to report to..
it's spelling was
Shakori
I got some weird looks at the gate trying to pronounce it for the first time from my orders, asking where it was birthed.. the spelling looked something like a sore from a VD problem, if you know what I mean :foot: :D

the sounding is "shah cory"
it is an Indian tribe's name.. :)

Shakori is also the name of the mythical home of God to the vulcan's in Star Trek.
