The BWM is not a Rat but she gets along with the cheese eaters just fine.

My two new knives. Both are Tan/Tanker but as you can see the Busse handle color is a little different.

The whole family.... for now anyway :)

Yes the Ratchet and Chopweiler have been earning their keep. They are a lot of fun to use, I can't wait to beat on the BWM and Ratmandu.

Yeah I have been pondering a few blades to fill out the team.

I want to check out a CF Sarsquatch for a decent all around blade.

I am torn between the GW, SAR3, AD, and BAD for a small guy.

Maybe I'll get lucky and the new release Eric mentioned will fill one of the roles above.

Don't forget about the Swamp Wardens! They are sweet little knives...

It's nice to see the BWM fitting in. Sure is clean though. Are you sure you really want to scuff it up? :)

Hah! she is not getting of the hook that easy :) Maybe I'll send her out for a satin/convex job when the coating gets really worn.

Very Nice! There's some fantastic steel in that set! :D

And relatively inexpensive too.... I am planning on getting a SW as a little utility or backup, but I need something a little more narrow and thin.

For a small blade I am really looking for something capable of wood carving/shaving, and food duty. I was exited about the CABS but I feel the Talon hole while nice looking will get in my way.

Unless someone can talk me out of it and present a better option I may stray from the pack and pick up a BRKT North Star or Mini. They are choiless, have no talon hole to get in the way for fine work, and are nice and thin.

The annorexic BOSS Street line is nice, very nice, but its a rather large knife, quite a bit bigger overall than the Wardens.

For a nice narrow knife you might look at the Rat Tail, wrapped or un wrapped and ready for custom scales.

A bit more narrow, but not thinner, is the Busse Skeleton Key. INFI steel and hollow ground.

Here's the Skeleton Key

I stripped mine and its a great little slicer.

I dont have a pic of my Rat Tail, but I'll try to take a break today and get one.

The Bark Rivers are nice and all, I have a Bravo, but they aren't Bussekin. :)

Good call on those two. Which one do you think is more usefull overall? The blade on the Rat Tail is closer to the handle, it looks pretty ideal.

Hey monsterdog your a citizen of the city of brotherly shove too huh?

I might check out one of those little guys from the Scraptard but the lack of any holes to cord wrap or put scales on it makes it less interesting to me. I have a bead on a Rat Tail I think that might be the one I need.

Brotherly shove indeed.. yup :)

I think the Scrapivore will cordwrap just fine, like this Swamp Warden:

Otherwise there is always Plasti Dip.

Of the two I've used my Skeleton Key the most, I think its because its so compact and processing game is a breeze with it.

One I forgot that has gotten a lot of use is my Cultellus. I really like the large handles on the black micarta version. Long days skinning deer the big handles help with hand fatigue.

Heres that pic for comparison of sizes, I hope it helps

Wow thanks for all the pics fellas! The comparison shots are a great help. The Cultellus and Rat Tail are the most appealing to me, the Skeleton Key is sweet but the blade seems really narrow. Don't get me wrong, I know I will have ALL of them eventually it's just the next one that I am concerned with now :)

The Skeleton Key is a little toothpick of a blade, it has its good and bad points. ;)

Nice thing about the Cultellus is they're still readily searchable on the exchange, this particular one was called the "Working Man's" Cultellus as it was a little cheaper because of the simpler handle.
