A good woman will buy you knives!

I've received a number of knives over the years from girls I've dated.

The most memorable would be a small 'Solar Wind' Sebenza and annual edition wood in-laid large Sebenza. Hit gold with those two blades now that I think about it!

my wife who passed away 2 yrs ago bought me all kinds of cool stuff, an emerson custom CQC8 for one, a rolex GMT11 for another, also several pistols, she also liked the same kinda stuff, i didnt know what i had till she was gone, still think of her daily.

the new girlfriend while looking as good as any 46 yr old i have ever seen is not into guns or knives at all, period end.

she's a good lady though, man does not live by knives alone lol.

My ex wife begrudged me every knife, gun survival supply, emergency road equipment etc. I ever bought. She wouldn't spend the money to get her sensible clothes for bad weather. She would then just borrow mine. Wonder why she's my ex? I worked double shifts for 14 years. I got sick, needed a couple surgeries so she left. I wasn't making the big bucks any more. From what I'm reading here you guys should realize just how lucky you are. Treat them as well as they deserve, then some extra. A good woman is a gift from god, a bad one......well. Joe

My wife co-ordinates with the kids to give me a BIG one for Christmas, My son leads the way and selects one of William Henry's collectibles, God has truly blessed me. This past March he got the one of a kind that they put up for collectors only. He was the first to respond when offer went out. NICE Fathers day. :D:D:D:D:D

My wife and son got together and bought me a Dozier K1 and a Thuy Burl Master Hunter. The PGK I bought myself.;)

No stories of my own, but working in a knife shop has shown me a fair number of wonderful wives/girlfriends/significant others who buy knives for the men in their lives. It's so much fun asking what the guy does for a living or what he'd be using the knife for to best suggest what, in my opinion, would work best.

One particular lady comes to mind. She was on a trip of some sort, away from her husband, and wanted to pick a knife up for him on the way back. I asked her price limit, as I do on all these, and she stated that price was not an issue. I just wish that we had better knives to sell her. She ended up with a JYDII for her husband, and I suggested that if she really wanted to impress him for a special occasion, she might look up the CRK Sebenza. She seemed very interested in such a knife, and I think in the future that lucky man will end up with a Sebbie or two.

When I was 23, and a couple months from getting married, I noticed an ad in the paper for MAK 90s (AK-47 variant) for less than $150! I mentioned it in passing to my bride-to-be saying, "You can't buy a new 10-22 for that!"

You should have seen the looks on our wedding guests' faces when, just after the wedding, she comes out (still in wedding dress) with that thing!--a little white flower stuck in the barrel.:thumbup::D:D

Half our guests were cheering, about 1/4 were dazed and the other 1/4 mortified. ---it was a great moment.:D

There's nothing like a good woman!

Awesome! :)

Mine, well, she doesn't care to participate in the details of my nefarious purchases, unless it comes to kitchen knives, but she doesn't bust my chops too much about another knife or gun. All is well as long as moderation is exercised.

Some years ago I ordered a knife to my design from german knifemaker Gernot Loquai (member of german knifemakers guild and member of italian knifemakers guild) who lives in our same quarter and is a mate of mine.

He told me it`d take around 3 months to have it done. When time frame was over I asked for the knife but was told it`d take some more time because of some backorders. And that went on and on and I was a bit disappointed not to have my new knife for my birthday.

On my birthday the best wife of all had a little pressie for me. I opened the box and guess what was inside...... the hunting knife I ordered! :) :D

I was such a happy and lucky man to have my knife finally done and it turned out better than expected.
Of course I`m a lucky man as well to have such a wife!:D

My first wife showed me our kitchen knives - as she threw them at me. Never more than a cap & ball blackpowder revolver with her - or a SAK. My second bride - who is a bit younger and actually came with a gun - has bought me numerous firearms and knives. Five years ago, she bought me my first S&W - a new 625 Mountain Gun in .45 Colt. She also bought me a John Greco knife I drooled over at a gun show, excusing herself from my side a row or two later by the infamous 'pottie call' break - and re-appearing with said knife - and a soft drink - minutes later. She bought me another one from him at the last show. Another recent sharp goodie - after seeing the Spyderco Native S30V so reasonably at Wally World one afternoon, she went back that night, supposedly for a shirt, and boughtme that knife, too. She carries a rainbow Chive in her pocket 24/7. Keeper!

My wife is buying me a large Sebenza in recognition of a closing that I have on Friday for a ranch in New Mexico. Now that is a great lady!

Knives are nice, and I don't say this to spoil anyone's fun here, but a good woman is one who takes good care of you, who takes you to the hospital five times in one summer, and, more importantly, who brings you home five times so she can continue to take good care of you. I just wanted to share my perspective on what a good woman is. Treasure her every day if you're lucky enough have one!

Wow. She's bought me more stuff than I can count.

Bark River golok
Benchmade 635
Spyderco Endura
Custom Lightfoot Mini-Pit
Arno Bernard neck knife
BM Mini AFCK
Morseth blade

Lots more, but none comes to mind. More recently she picked up an SKS for my son as a reward for straight A's, and picked herself up a Browning High Power, a CRKT Tighe Breaker, and a couple of Santa Fe stoneworks knives.

More important than the toys that come and go are the other ten million non-toy involved things she does to make me feel like the luckiest guy in the world.

I would list a few, but gotta run. we need to get her to the doctor to check out a pending family addition.:D
