A good working folder...

I really have taken a liking to the Spyderco Centofante III. It is very comfortable, sharp and easy to sharpen. It's cheaper than a Native also.

Greco Falcon Folder. I don't have one, but those who have saying it's one great working folder, cause it's so strong .. best value vs money thing ...

I found the Native III to be a little thick for easy pocket carry. Also, the thickness of the handle interfered with easy opening using the thumb-hole. I finally settled on the original, slim Native in CPMS30V -- inexpensive, durable and very comfortable (to carry and use). Highly recommended.

BRK Native is not a fixed blade.

Woops!
I thought that you was talking about a model from Bark River Knives :footinmou

Anyway, the Native seems like a good piece, looks more strong than the Endura.

I'm leaning towards a Native or a Griptilian...

Thanks for the answers :)

Sorry for my engish :o

If you want to stay under 50 bucks I would check out the Spyderco Native, Delica, Endura, the Benchmade Pikas and Monochrome. If you want under a 100, check out the Griptillians, Military, or try to score a used 710.

I'd second the Calypso Jr. recommendation. I bought one as a do-anything beater and it's been great.

I put a vote in for the Native III , I got one for EDC its real sturdy heavy blade not too too large to scare sheeple and just feels good in my hand ( I thinks its the cut outs in the handle.
Second vote is for CRKT. not too expensive lots of choices and fairly heavy blades

Alberto, make sure you actually handle the Native before ordering one--alot of folks say the Native is the most comfortable knife they've ever held, but in my hand the Native feels very awkward and uncomfortable.

I recommend the full-sized Griptilian (550 or 551) or the Mini-Griptilian (555 or 556).
The 550 and 555 have the modified sheepsfoot blade that has a very stout tip that can take alot of abuse and prying and have the oval thumb-hole.
I prefer the thumbstuds on the 551 and 556.
Try them both before buying.

Another consideration: While the Endura and Native are strong folders, they are still unlined FRN with rivit-pins.
The Griptilians have steel liners and torx-screw construction, making them even stronger.

Happy hunting,
Allen.

Allen is right. Some people don't like the native that much if they have larger hands. I have a Native III that I love because it fits my hand perfectly. My hand is only 3 inches across that the knuckles. The Native III is a little more comfortable than the Native II. If you do have big hands, it would definitely hurt your hands.
