A great friend to our community has passed

I don't know if TN State Parks do this, but a park bench with Missy's name would be a nice memorial. My Dad had a couple benches placed along a rails for trails path that he liked to bike.

Been thinking about making the trip to Cummins Falls SP as I have never been there.
 
I did not know this lady but her family must be proud even if they are greaving for there is no greater sacrifice than to lay down your own life trying to help others.

At AG Russell's knife show back in 09 or 11 CAS had a booth there and they gave me two hat's that had CAS on the front. I have worn one or the other almost every day since and a few months back I tried to get ahold of them in hopes to find another as these two have lost their shape.

Can't get picture to work, reason number 7 as to why I hate cell phones, first 6 all have to do with "da man" tracking me.

I never met Missy, but it sounds like the world would be a better place if there were more people like her. She was a very pretty young lady with a desire to help those in need.
 
Damn... just damn. So hard to hear this. I read about the incident on the news earlier today, and wondered at the great, giving heart this young woman had to serve others. It's especially hard after the news of T.K.C. this past weekend.

Condolences to those here who knew her, and to her family & friends as well.

Very sorry for her family, but she gave her life trying to help save another...

I don't like to quote myself, but I wanted to reference this. I contacted the park and they are looking into some sort of memorial for Missy. If it turns out a bench as I suggested, I may be looking for contributions toward the purchase. Just so you know, I don't even know her. Regards.
