Just a note that I'm very impressed by the Bog Oak / Elmax knife that I received from
menem
/ Miro last week, and to add some comparison pictures if anybody is interested.
Here are the technical details and some pictures from the master himself: Bog Oak Elmax Knife
Fit and finish are outstanding. I love the large bog oak handles, very comfortable for larger hands, also in reverse grip.
It came with a great leather sheath with good retention. To save the sheath from usage for now, I modified a Buck 119 3rd party sheath that I will use the knife with.
~6" blades are a sweet spot for me. Miro's knife fills a gap in my setup, it's the thinnest/sliciest 6" blade that I own.
Here in comparison to a CPK UF; similar but different: almost the same weight, but larger handle, thinner and a little higher blade on Miro's knife.
And here compared to a Buck 119. A little thinner even here, and much lighter (mostly due to brass on the 119):
Thanks again, Miro, for making and selling this great knife.
Roland.
