I'll definitely have to pick some up then, especially if the compatibility with plastics is the same as the grease.
I have a lot of plastic things that need to be lubricated (vintage computer stuff and R/C cars) and most oils and greases can cause embrittlement.
The fact that it is food safe is perfect for knives too.
I use mineral oil because it is food safe, but I have always been a bit disappointed with its lubricating properties.
Definitely better than no oil at all, but nowhere near as good as an oil that has additives to improve lubricity.
Motor oil and transmission fluid are great, but not food safe, so it looks like Super Lube oil will be just the ticket.
