I've had a Rinaldi TTKK on my wish list for quite some time. I emailed Trace a while back and asked about the availability of a Talonite model. He replied within a day and told me Larry@Blade Art would be getting some in next. I emailed Larry and asked that he keep me in mind. Last week Copfish lists a BG42 model. I emailed Larry, who is now at the show, and asked his opinion. He gets back to me within a couple hours and tells me Cop's a good guy and it's a great price so grab it if I can.
A maker takes the time to get back to me quickly, a dealer tells me to buy someone else's knife at the risk of losing a sale, a fellow forumite works with me to facilitate the buy, and I end up with a great knife. This is why it's fun.
Will I get another Rinaldi? Oh yea. Am I going to buy it from Larry. Uh, do I even have to answer that one? Was there any doubt Copfish is one of the white hat guys? Nope.
