A group list. The most beautiful Music ever written

"Theme in Glory" by the Scotts (?) Draggoons (bagpipes)

Mozart's Requiem

Hayden's Creation

"Gloria", Terry Hunt (it's a modern work and probably not very well known yet. I think it was composed in 2009.)

The tune played by Capt Picard on the flute in the Jeffries tube with the lady playing the roll-up keyboard in Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Grieg - Piano Concerto in A Minor 2nd mov.

Three that come to mind:
1.-Beethoven's Symphony Nº 6 in F major, "Pastoral"
2.-Albinoni's "Adaggio"
3.-Puccini's "Nessun dorma", from "Turandot".

Amazing Grace: Bagpipes and vocally by a few artists (really about any pipe music)

This one is great, and - BONUS!- I'd never heard it before! Adding it to my library. Thanks for posting it.

 "Pastoral" would one of my picks.

Bach's Jesu, Joy Of Man's Desiring and his 9th Symphony are right up there.

Oi! Such music for a nice Jewish boy. :D

clouds of another life
wash across the sunlight
changing shape as they go by
thought i saw your face there
but like them
you jus' disappear
disappear into empty sky
quietly
and so removed from reason
hey
have you ever had to reason?
hey
the eagle comes and goes
to somewhere much higher
when the silence grows
can you hear it, sniper?

visions and memories
where some one once laid flowers
for the past and things to come
thought you were gone
but i can feel you
so i turn around
turn around yes, and there you are
here again
can you give it some meaning?
hey
ask again, but you say nothing
hey

motion without sound
ice inside the fire
the stillness in the storm
silence hides the sniper
eagles come and go
to someplace much higher
and when the silence grows
can you hear it, sniper?

what goes through your sniper's mind?

Let's stick with classical. Bach's "Goldberg Variations" by Glen Gould and Daniel Lessner. Especially 2,6,15,16 (played by Daniel Lessner), 27. Bach's French Suites (6 in particular). I'm very partial to Beethoven's Sonatas. (Beethoven is not for sissies.) I own many artist's interpretations including the complete Wilhelm Bachaus set in both vinyl and cd. Particularly 22 and 23 by Richter being my favorites. We'll throw in Bach and Beethoven concertos. I listen to them frequently. Saw Valentina Lisitsa in concert last year. Most amazing performance and program I've ever seen.
