A helpful hint

I've never posted a helpful hint because, well...just never had one. But, a while back I posted a thread on dust collection. So, while I was figuring all of that out I had an idea. I tried it out and it works very well. I attached a piece of sheet metal directly below my grinder, where all the sparks come off, and put several magnets on the metal. It does work, the magnets really catch most of the metal. Hardly had any metal dust on the floor. Doesn't replace a dust collector, but it's not a bad cheap, temporary fix.

HAHAHA its funny you mention this because i have about a years worth of forging scale stuck to the magnet on my anvil!
