Went with a group to hike at the angeles forest. It was about a 7 mile hike both ways. Sorry for the pics not being so good i borrowed my moms camera as my camera is bulky and didnt feel like carrying it with me. Lucky there was lots of water so the hot weather wasnt as bad.

there used to be a hotel in the 30s out there. There are old ruined walls and bridges all over the hiking trails. Lots of people and dogs.

great pics! We got a few swimming holes like that here, except they are surrounded by mossy rocks and cedars.

Hey bushman5 i got the pack at a surplus store its a copy of some other brand but im not sure which one. Main reason i got the pack was that it would take 3 Liters of water.
Ray Its funny But i seen a pup that looked just like yours on the way back to the car. I remember him as he wont get out of the creek trying to cool off. Did you hike at the same place i did today??

I was there on Saturday between 11:am and about 2:30pm. I hiked the exact same place except I had to park up top on the highway because the gate was closed when I got there. I didn't go to the actual falls (been there many times). At the bottom of the switchbacks, instead of turning left to the falls, I turned right downstream and went for about another mile. It was pretty hot in the sun but nice in the shade. I saw one guy carrying a knife like yours and I don't remember what he looked like but I guess it wasn't you because I was there on Saturday and you were there on Sunday.

Great hike. Switzers is great once you get past the crowds. It's so nice to be able to cool off as you hike

Ray next time let me know when you are comming down here. Also how hard of a hike you want to make it.
Doc you forgot the big #4................ Girls in bikini ....
T knife there were way too many people so we hiked a ways to have a swimming hole for our selfs. Water was cold enough to make a man into a girl if you get my drift lol..

Thanks TonyM when i got home and looked at the pics i wished i had my better camera. Some of the pic didnt come out so had to delet them.. This pic is my favorit from this hike.
Bryan those are BDU pants in green they are 60%cotton and 40%nylon. This pair i got about 4 months ago. but i still have 2 pairs from 3 years ago that are going strong and would last easy for 3 more years. The name on the tag says Propper.
