Headed off to my local woods today,it was too hot to drive anywhere else.

I've been trying out my new long sleeve cotton shirt that has some nano technology that causes it to wick moisture better and makes it dry much faster, I must say that it appears to work and I felt as dry as I do in my poly type shirts and didn't get the sweaty smell that you do with synthetics !

At the higher elevations I had these guys for company...Turkey Vultures, I'm sure one had it's eye on Snicker !!!!

I decided to bring my JK Hiker along today as I never use it since getting my TTSK and it is really a great knife !

Decided to head back into the forest canopy so Maisy could cool off....

looks like you and the pups had a nice day in familiar surroundings. Very nice views and that secret spot looks like a nice place to pitch a tent. What kind of dog is that little Snicker.....a Jack Russel?

Yep, a Parsons Jack Russell to be exact.....longer legs, although when I'm chasing her round the house cos she has a pair of my socks in her mouth I wish she was a short legged version !:(

Great pics, Pit. Looks like Maisy would have really enjoyed that dip especially!

Oh yeah, Maisy would spend all day in water if you let her !

Check out this pic, I wasn't going to post it because it came out so blurry but I'm sure you can see Maisy's eyes as she is shaking....makes her look like some strange swamp monster, no wonder TT is moving away so fast !!!!:D

I gotta chase this big dummy around the house when he's got one of my shoes.

Ya, he's a German Shorthair Pointer. His name is Copper, he's 6 years old and dumb as a rock, but I love him anyway. Here's a picture of his sister Sable,
she's 7 years old, and quite possible the smartest little dog I've ever owned. The picture of both of them was taken in the late afternoon, closing in on dusk. They are watching for those pesky rabbits. Cooper is on the left ( laying down) and Sable is on the right. Cooper is so lazy, he usually let's Sable pull the real guard duty. They are from the same Sire & Dam, just a year apart. Sable was the runt of the litter.

That little Jack Russel of yours is adorable, I think my next dog is going to be one of those little Feist Squirrel Dogs.

Great shots of the Turkey vultures in flight. They are getting really common around here now.

I would be moving away fast, too, if I didn't know it was Maisy
