Cleo and I did a 7 mile hike to see an old climbing "friend" this morning. Started out cold, 10F, warming to 35 F. Two coyotes walked by us as we croutched down, not to be noticed. Heard many pileated woodpeckers doing their thing. Lucky enough to see two belted kingfishers on the way home.
This branch was under water when I came back by it
Lots of melt freeze cycle going on
