The weather was great again today so I decided to go for a hike and take along my little blades to get some pics for ya !!!

Maisy found the going warm....

At one point I climbed a tree that had fell over, this seemed to confuse Maisy a little !!!!!

Here is a usefull plant for you, " Vanilla leaf " when dried it's leaves can be hung in bunches near doorways to keep away flying insects or even rubbed on your skin as Mozzy repelant !!!

We passed a Swamp, anyone hear banjo's ?

Eventually we found a good rest stop, here are my small blades....

You can see here that the little Buck is about the same size as the SwampWarden......

Maisy just wanted me to put the knives away and get out her water...

The little Warden made easy work of opening the packet of cookies, just shows how tough this SR101 steel is !!!

Back at the parking lot I compared the Warden and the Wolfpup at making fuzzsticks, the wood was not the best for this so they both looked naff but the knives actually seemed to cut about the same, I have put a new edge on the Wolfpup though which may have helped with this test !!!

nice pics, thanks for sharing

how does the skeletonized handle feel vs the wolfpup? the SR is longer, but i have always had trouble getting a skeletonized handle to behave for me...

It feels ok to me actually mate, I was going to cord wrap it but it actually don't feel bad anyway !!!

I'm glad you weren't so under-knifed that you couldn't get into the cookies! That would have been a buzz kill! :D Off topic somewhat...what variety/flavor of tea do you have there? I'm working on a cup of Earl Grey at the moment...that's what got my curiosity up. Thanks for sharing! -Matt-

Thanks for that comparative shot of the swamprat and diamondback guide - that just gave me a perfect reference. I think this is an ideal size for a neck knife. Big enough blade for lots of cutting surface, but not too long and cumbersome for neck carry.

What do you use for a sheath for the swamprat? I like my diamondback alot (I have it attached to my PFD as a little boat knife), but the factory sheath supplied with it oversizes the knife.

Great pics! Although, I was hoping to see at least one sharpened pry bar! I like my knives especially *fat...

*even in the woods.

more awesome pics there pit... maisy looks like she had a blast..:o

those swamp wardens are cool.. i have been digging mine...

I have a kydex sheath being made but have been carrying it in a cheap Maglite sheath that I had.....
