A hole in Spyderco's lineup (no pun intended)?

Take a look at RAT Cutlery. I like to think of them as the spydercos of the outdoor/survival fixed blade world. Mostly due to simplicity of design, comfortable ergos, high quality marterials, and TOP NOTCH customer service.

........I'll soon be in the market for a new fixed blade and don't see anything in Spyderco's product line that is really suitable. I need a fixed blade, 5+ inch blade (preferably 6), with a fairly slim profile (think traditional hunting knife slim) and a decent belly.

Well, the 5" blade minimum is bare minimum for me. However, maybe there is another discontinued model that fits my needs that I'm not aware of?

Take a look at this, the discontinued, Spyderco Perrin FB-04! You may very well be able to still find one.

Really? it looks like one to me. Not as severe as the Hossoms, but it looks like it curves inward next to the ricasso before beginning to curve out at the belly.

You know, you might be right there, looking at a larger picture, it does have a very small recurve.

On the Rock Salt, the first half inch (just under actually) of edge curves in, the rest is straight or belly.
IMO it can be sharpened with on a benchstone, but that little half inch section gets on my nerves, so I usually revert to the ceramic Triangles.
