If you want to put in a SFNO or SARSquatch, I've found that it takes judicious use of a dremel tool on the spine area of the plastic to make it work. . . but it DOES work.
I just did this mod today so I thought I would share my experience. The small Spec-Ops sheath was used. I followed the guide above but changed it up a little. I put a small piece of cardboard in the choil area and then taped up the blade so there was no need to cut the plastic sheath. I preheated the oven to 350 and it only took about 1-2 minuets for the inner sheath to become very pliable. There was no need to glue the inner plastic liner inside the nylon sheath. It was so tight of a fit I had to use a mallet to get the plastic all the way inside. No way it's going to come out. I also glued a small square of fabric on the underside of the snap so it doesn't scratch my handle. This sheath is just a stepping stone until I decide what style and maker I want for my leather sheath. Spec-Ops had a sale and I got this and a tan one for $61.00 total for both shipped. Hell of a deal. Quite happy with how it turned out.
