A huge, huge billet of damascus steel

Meanwhile we hot rolled 200 lb blocks from it to plates with 1/8" to 1" thickness. No problems. Metallographic research at the University of Duisburg showed a damascus steel as proper as a mono steel with perfect welds. Forging tests showed no delaminations whatever you are trying to do to torture it. We're more than content with the results.

Interesting project. I especially like the tiger stripe picture on the website. Is this stuff going to be available for purchase? If so, how much?
 
We will sell blocks, plates and strips of this material later. Prices depend on what has to be done with it before (raw layered material, patterned material, type of pattern, precision ground and so on....). I will show more pics than on the website as soon as we have them.
