Steel: 1095
Blade was heat treated by my friend Ed Braun.
Thickenss: ~5/32" at the ricasso. Great distal taper to the tip.
Blade Length: 3 and 11/16" from the tip to the front of the scales, 3 and 3/8" cutting edge
Total Length: 8.125"
Blade width: 1.25" at the widest.
Two 1/8" diameter 416 stainless pins.
Handle: Stabilized Yellow Box Burl from John Gerst at Gerst Hardwoods LLC
Sheath: Hand tooled and hand stitched. Lined with deer skin. Done by me (Brian Avila)
Blade was ground to just under .010" at the edge and then convex edge geometry was added and feathered together.
Hand polished to 1500 grit and then etched and polished out with loose grit abrasives.
