Did you manage to save the inside wood volume in one piece? I know there is a fixture with an arched, pivoted cutter they use to do multiple bowls from the same parent stock.

No, this bowl was turned on the outside of the lathe, it's too big to be turned over the ways. Those fixtures work on the inside only.

I think I have about fifty hours in this bowl. It's hard to tell when the finishing started.
