I have been trying to convince a few of my friends to get into the outdoors more and in order to push one over the edge I decided to make him a knife. Hope it works!! It was really my first attempt at making a knife and sheath so go easy on me.

Specs:
3/16" thick
4.5" blade
black canvas micarta handle

Camera focusing on the tree behind the knife, but you get the idea

Kydex sheath (still needs a final closing snap for the strap)

Size comparison to an F1 (3.8 inch blade) and the NWA forum knife (5 inch blade)

I also ended up making a chopper blade for myself. I was getting tired of making it, so its kind of ugly but gets the job done. As I live down the road from Simon (Siguy) I had him put a nice edge on it and it chops great!

All in a day's work

Great work buddy, if that doesn't get you mate out more then nothing will !

Also there is nothing ugly about that chopper but on a knife that's used for chopping I like to have a lanyard for a little extra security !

Nice work Andrew! I hope your frien appreciates the hard work you put into it.

Looks like you got a lil recurve going there, was that intentional? Either way I think that is a really fine job!

Now show us better pics of that Chopper! It looks awesome!

That's good advice. I'll have to pick up some of that hollow rod for the next one!

Thanks everyone for the comments.

The recurve was unintentional, it just got a little thin in that area and thats how it ended up, but I figured it might have some advantages.

I'll work on getting some better pics soon.
