Hey fellas I thought I'd share a pic of one I've almost got finished. (It just needs the wood sealed and the blade sharpened.
) She wanted a knife to use when we go hiking/camping, & general use. I used a sharpie to draw the image on the blade then submerged it in a bath of white vinegar and lemon juice concentrate, to etch the image and names onto the blade. It started life as a Starrett Red Stripe Power Hacksaw Blade. Full Hard HSS! :thumbup:
(.62 x 1.25 x 14") It really wasnt as hard as I thought it was going to be to shape. I'll definantly use it again
Anyway she is 7 3/4" long with 3 1/2" recurve drop point blade. The Handle is mahogany stained red oak epoxied on since I had no carbide drill :grumpy: Let me know what ya think
