A knife similar to Big Rock Camp Knife from Gerber under 50$?

One of those AG Russells would be great to go with your Bushman xseven. Price is reasonable too.

I have the Russell Woodswalker (its in AUS-8) and really like it.

This problem screams Mora 2000 to me. About 30 bucks at Smokey Mountain. Ontario has several knives that fit that description as well. I also agree with the Rant suggestion.

At $32.95 for the Big Rock Knife you're not taking much of a gamble. Buy it, sharpen it and try it. If it holds an edge and cuts well what more do you want:). I would buy one but I bought a Benchmade Griptillian 151 drop point fixed blade for $85. A good knife that's easy to sharpen and holds an edge. Made with 154CM but more than you want to spend.

good fixed blades under $50?

mora, buck, and ontario spec plus.

i think you should still get the gerber. it will be fine, especially if you have the bushman on reserve for more challenging work. 440A may not be one of the supersteels you read about on the forum, but it'll do the job. you wanna chop concrete, shell out the cash for a busse.
