Hi all,

I am new to the forum but I have been enjoying myself immensely with your beautiful obsession. I, like the majority of this site, have an abnormal affection for blades. I have recently bought knives to stamp a moment in time.

Last week week my neighbor was run over by a tractor trailer and it effected me more than I would have thought.

I bought a knife to remember him bye.

So do any of you do the same? Does you purchase define a moment?

Sorry for your loss. Where I buy a knife definitely holds some sentimental factor for me. One example would be my first "nice" knife - my trusty Benchmade Mini Griptilian which I bought at my favorite (now out of buisness) local knife shop. I grew very close with the guys there, and I have very fond memories of that place.

I have a few knives that have a personal attachment alongside the fact that I like knives.
-My first Sebenza, a large plain Jane 21. It was made on my daughters birthday (only child), 1 of 7 made on that day.
-Custom fixed blade by Nighthaxan, pocket special occasions and dinners knife. It was a gift for my first Father's day from the Misses.
(Photos to come when I am on lunch)

I have some others that were gifted to me by members on here that will not be dispersed out unless it is Very warranted by the receiver of the gift, never sold.
