I love the Gerber mini covert but I hate that I can't get a plain edge on it. I am not a fan of serrations.

Is there something out there that resembles the Gerber mini covert that I have missed in my endless search for a covert with no serrations? I have found an Emerson A-100 mini but cannot afford it I am looking for other options

Is it the slim handle that completely covers the blade when closed that you're after? Is the dagger grind with top swedge important? What's your budget exactly?

I like the slim handle the top swedge is not that important. I like the fit and form of the handle a lot. My budget 75 bucks at the top end

Are you set on a modern look and a clip?

If not, the Buck 500 Duke is nice and slim (as are the smaller 501 and 503).

If you prefer modern and a clip, the Buck Spitfire (and the Walmart Slimline variant shown here) are very thin and light.

Cold steel counter point seems to be what you're looking for

Yopu could look at the suggestions given in this thread of yours from a day or two ago, where you asked the same question....

Pinnah...what...nevermind.

Yeah, almost went there, but what's the point.

And the OP wants a Benchmade 530. Save up for it, or deal with the fact that, you cant get whatever you want when you are on a budget.

Spyderco is about the release the ultra cool Euroedge http://www.knifecenter.com/item/SP2...nife-s30v-satin-plain-blade-black-g10-handles

Cold Steel makes several knives like that. One is the Counter Point https://www.coldsteel.com/products/folding-knives/counter-point-1.html?___SID=U and Counter Point 2 https://www.coldsteel.com/products/folding-knives/counter-point-2.html (there is also an XL)

Many sizes of the Hold Out https://www.coldsteel.com/products/folding-knives/hold-out-ii-plain-edge.html and another one or two.

Someone already mentioned the BM offering.

I have learned throughout my whole life to ask questions is the best way to find what you are looking for and true I may have asked this question in a different way yesterday but by asking it from a different perspective today brought a whole lot of different choices to the table, and if you go back and read the tread you will see why asking the same question Twice can be a benefit. If I had not asked the same question twice I would not have found the dozier knife quite mentioned in this thread.
Yes I love the Emerson but I desire more than one knife if I buy the Emerson I want be able to get the other 2. I bet the Emerson is great but the dozier will be awesome I believe as well I have settled on the dozier quite recommended. Thanks for all the replies and happy slicing

Actually the Counter Point 2 is what's needed. If you plan on using this knife defensively, it's the only choice--unreinforced liner locks are unsuitable for defense, which is why Gerber added a secondary lock, and why CRKT introduced the similar LAWKS and Auto-LAWKS, because liner locks tend to give way on comma cuts. Lockbacks and especially the Tri-Ad work much better.

Actually a good option, if you can find one, is a Browning Ice Storm. Not my video, but I can't find a good picture (I honestly didn't look that hard though) https://youtu.be/8chdPOvdP3M

Another option is the Cold Steel Counter Point or Holdout. There is also the Benchmade 530 and 531 for the more expensive similar designs.

Benchmade 530/531 was exactly what I had in mind. Good call though Quiet. That seems like the winner.
