The beverage or the movie prop? Or both? :D

Either way I think you should tell us.

Yes Penguin.., I fully understand. :( My friend, and proprieter of -THIS PLACE-, Duane Weikum, suggested I celebrate the incoming year with the stuff shown below.

Fortunately, I started with the bottle labelled "Double Bastard".., because (1) ~~> I was able to remove bead blasting from old knives with the drool that was prevalent after about a half glass, and (2) ~~> by the time you finish the first bottle, then "Arrogant Bastard"..., it's evil, but slightly less toxic twin, seems almost consummable.

Ok.., I admit I'm basically a "Mall Ninja", and drink "girly-stuff" like Corona with lime, but this was me the morning of January 1st. :(

That was my exact goal following my battle with those Gargoyle-Labelled bottles Penguin, so I relied on Jody's vast experience with such potions over the many years he ventured about at Renaissance Faires.

More on this ~~~> -HERE-!

First off, I found the "The Far Side" recommends early intervention in such matters. If one is observed in any situation where the aforementioned beverage may be consummed, the first step is to soundly thrash the potential victim with one of Jody's infamous Walking Sticks, as pictured below:

These implements have decades of experience thwarting the attempts of Elves, Dwarves, and various worldly travelors to partake of such evil potions, so a sound thumping will usually suffice.

Wow.., if I'd only asked for advice earlier.... :(

Ixy.., I will devulge Jody's ultimate secret.., but this is only to be used when things have just gone completely astray, and maximal intervention is immanent.. :(

  • You must have an assistant for this procedure.
  • This may be a spouse (not advised), girlfriend, or other reliable life form with good hand-eye cooridnation.
  • With carpenter's plumb-bob, obtain the coordinates for a parallel blow to the right parietal suture of the victim's skull. This should be done from exactly 8 feet above the target at sea level. Note: Please make corrections for altitude.
  • Next.., employing the "Samson Battle Axe" pictured below, release the head directly downward striking designated target perpendicular to Earth, then simply tidy up any mess that may have been a by-product.

Very nice pics. Can't wait to get my Military khukri from Jody.

Dudley that one is mine.., and Jody calls that the "Hunter". Tony's has the same dimensions, and I actually love the profile on the "Military". I got the one pictured above because it matches that "Back Edge" saber perfectly, and was profiled so the top could be sharpened.

Wait until you see the belly on Tony's...incredible! If Tony is in his "I-drank-to-much-coffee" node when opening the box, I gaurantee a red-awakening ~~~> we want pictures Tony.. :)

As Pete said. It's a close cousin. With a nice deep belly.

And to think, all I really wanted was a resin copy of the Dragon statute...

Thanks for the warning Pete. It better be sharp for what they charge to have Jody sharpen it... ;)

Heck, White Balance is harder to grasp than Tilt Shift. :p

Of course, it only applies if you have a SLR. A Tift & Shift lens allows you to move the perspective of the image in relation to the lens. You can move it up or down the horizon (Tilt), or the vertical plane (Shift). Most common usage is in shooting tall buildings, and adjusting it so that it doesn't look so pointy, and is straighter.

In your application, you could have adjusted the perspective so tha the light box is no longer reflected in the image. Which is a consequence of having to shoot the reflective surface head on.

Now, if I had time, I would shoot with my T&S lens to show the difference.
