A lamb and a soddie. A comparison

I understood exactly what you where on about.😇

Its something I have considered before myself.

The differances in countrys and the way they go about things.

Take the traditional knife of Sardina and Corsica so different yet to be used for similar jobs by similar people.

Its not just knifes its everything,Scotland developed the kilt in England we opted for trousers (thankfully 😆) .

We invented Football, the Americans invented Football and its not the same, as for that Australian invented game.

I got the point that knives meet similar needs for jobs, and a good basic blade will do just fine without being expensive, what the average person or worker would use, rather than the two being similar in a design sense, but purpose sense. I like my Opinel 6 and my MAM drop point for light carry and a sharp edge for small tasks, they are more similar than the lambs foot and the sod buster, but still a general worker. I enjoy discussing and ideas like this thread. So maybe started off one way but take a tangent and a good discussions of patterns and functions. I also like the different styles in different nations, even different regions of the same nation.
